Coming Down Out of Heaven
Rev. 21:
9 ¶ Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
11 having the glory of God…
The angel tells John, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” John is then carried away to a great and high mountain. Whenever the term “high mountain” or “holy mountain” is used in the Scriptures, it is speaking of God’s domain. It’s a spiritual sphere or realm where God’s presence is manifested in a unique way. John saw the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God. Plainly the holy city, New Jerusalem, is a symbolic picture of the bride of Christ. The New Jerusalem is the saints of God, not a physical city.
Notice that they are coming down out of heaven. This indicates these are people who have their roots in one realm but are manifested in another. “Coming down” means they descend from a higher realm into a lower one. This occurs without their feet ever leaving the physical earth. It’s a spiritual manifestation. Jesus is our prime example of how this operates. We will look at His life momentarily.
The Greek word for out is ek. It conveys more that just leaving one location and entering another. It implies being part of something and then emerging from it while still being part of it. Sound confusing? A child is part of its mother while in the womb, when it emerges it is separate, yet it still bears the genetic makeup, etc. of its mother. The child came “out” of its mother, meaning it was formed by her. The child has the same essence as its parents.
In the same way the New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven. The first thing we must do is get rid of the notion that “heaven” is a geographical place you go to when you die. When the Scriptures speak of the kingdom of heaven it is speaking of a kingdom whose essence or substance is spirit. The realm of spirit is not some ethereal, spooky concept. It also is not a “place” but rather a higher state of reality than the earthly plane most people live on. In Heb. 11:3 we read: By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. The writer states that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. By faith we are to understand the worlds (literal – ages) were formed or framed by the word of God. Jesus said in John 6:63 that His words were spirit and life. God spoke and the ages unfolded. Their source is spirit, not the natural elements that make up physical things. If we can grasp that “spirit”, although on another plane of existence, is “substance” the same as the natural elements of our world you can put under a microscope, then we have the foundation for understanding all the creation of God. Jesus said God is spirit and those that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24). The passage doesn’t say God is a spirit, but spirit. In this case we are speaking of those who are of the same essence as God, who bear His nature. The true worship has it origin out of the creation of God within a believer. Christ in them is that creation (Rev. 3:14). Christ in them is also the Truth from which true worship flows.
Now back to our text in Revelation. The New Jerusalem is manifested out of heaven. A people come forth living on this earthly, natural plane whose lives and essence are of another realm. They are born out of heaven. That which is born on a high spirit plane (the great high mountain John was taken to) is manifested down on the earthly plane for all to see. Phil. 3:20 states: For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Another translation states: “We are heaven’s colony”. The true people of God are those whose life and essence are of another realm, but they live and breath and walk on this natural earth.
Now let’s take a look at Jesus’ life.
John 8:
21 ¶ Then He said again to them, "I go away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come."
22 So the Jews were saying, "Surely He will not kill Himself, will He, since He says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?"
23 And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.
Jesus told the Jews He was from above, and they were from below. “You are of this world, I am not of this world.” What was Jesus saying? Technically He was born into this world the same as your or me. He was born naturally from Mary’s womb. He walked on this physical earth. Yet He says He is from above. Jesus was born into this earthly realm out of another higher spiritual realm. His life, His essence, was of the Father. He was thus from above. The Jews he was speaking to were of the earthly realm. They had no consciousness of a higher realm in God. They were devoid of the Spirit of God. Thus they were from below. They were of the world. Jesus was of the heavens.
John 6:
This chapter is lengthy but needs to be read in its entirety to receive the full impact of this message.
1 ¶ After these things Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee (or Tiberias).
2 A large crowd followed Him, because they saw the signs which He was performing on those who were sick.
3 Then Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat down with His disciples.
4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was near.
5 Therefore Jesus, lifting up His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him, *said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread, so that these may eat?"
6 This He was saying to test him, for He Himself knew what He was intending to do.
7 Philip answered Him, "Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little."
8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, *said to Him,
9 "There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many people?"
10 Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 Jesus then took the loaves, and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted.
12 When they were filled, He *said to His disciples, "Gather up the leftover fragments so that nothing will be lost."
13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.
14 Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world."
15 ¶ So Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.
16 Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea,
17 and after getting into a boat, they started to cross the sea to Capernaum. It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
18 The sea began to be stirred up because a strong wind was blowing.
19 Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, they *saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near to the boat; and they were frightened.
20 But He *said to them, "It is I; do not be afraid."
21 So they were willing to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.
22 ¶ The next day the crowd that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other small boat there, except one, and that Jesus had not entered with His disciples into the boat, but that His disciples had gone away alone.
23 There came other small boats from Tiberias near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
24 So when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves got into the small boats, and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus.
25 When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, "Rabbi, when did You get here?"
26 Jesus answered them and said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.
27 "Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal."
28 ¶ Therefore they said to Him, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?"
29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent."
30 So they said to Him, "What then do You do for a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work do You perform?
31 "Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘HE GAVE THEM BREAD OUT OF HEAVEN TO EAT.’"
32 Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.
33 "For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world."
34 Then they said to Him, "Lord, always give us this bread."
35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.
36 "But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe.
37 "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.
38 "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
39 "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day.
40 "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."
41 Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him, because He said, "I am the bread that came down out of heaven."
42 They were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, ‘I have come down out of heaven’?"
43 Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not grumble among yourselves.
44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.
45 "It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.
46 "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.
47 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.
48 "I am the bread of life.
49 "Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
50 "This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.
51 "I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."
52 Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, "How can this man give us His flesh to eat?"
53 So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.
54 "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
55 "For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.
56 "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
57 "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.
58 "This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever."
59 These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
60 ¶ Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, "This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?"
61 But Jesus, conscious that His disciples grumbled at this, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble?
62 "What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
64 "But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him.
65 And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father."
66 As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore.
67 So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?"
68 Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.
69 "We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God."
70 Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?"
71 Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray Him.
Verse three says Jesus went up on the mountain and sat down with His disciples. The literal Greek reads He went up into the mountain and there sat with the disciples of Him. Going into the mountain has a whole different connotation than going up on the mountain. There is something being revealed here of a mystical nature that goes beyond climbing up a natural mountain and sitting down. Remember that high mountain John was taken to? That’s the mountain Jesus went up into. Jesus entered that high spiritual realm and sat with the disciples of Him. That’s not just an awkward way of wording the sentence. It’s in that high spiritual realm that He sits with those disciples that are of the same spiritual essence, thus they are of Him. In John 14 Jesus told the disciples, "In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” In the Father’s house are many dwelling places, or spiritual levels. Jesus was telling the disciples that a place was being prepared for them on the same spiritual level in which He abided. It’s a level or realm reserved for discipleship. There are no qualifications other than leaving all and following Jesus. "If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him (John 12:26).”
In verses four and five Jesus lifts up His eyes and sees that a large crowd is coming to Him. Again we see mystical connotations. While Jesus was abiding in that “high mountain realm” He lifted up His eyes. Lifting up of the eyes in Scripture again and again infers seeing with spiritual sight. It’s seeing beyond the natural realm. Jesus “saw” that a large crowd was coming to Him. He knew what was going to transpire. Thus he began making preparations with His disciples. The multitudes were going to be fed, and it was going to be done through His disciples. What Jesus lifted up His eyes and saw transcended the immediate need of the moment. He saw the multitudes that would come to Him for salvation. He also knew, as we shall soon see, that it would be through His disciples of futures generations that would continue to be the channels of feeding the multitudes the Bread that comes down out of heaven.
In verse 31the Jews make reference to the manna the Israelites ate in the wilderness after coming out of Egypt. “As it is written,” they said, “He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.” The manna in the wilderness was “out of heaven”. It was manifested in the natural realm but had a spiritual essence. Jesus tells the Jews that He is the true bread that comes down from heaven.
38 "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
The word “from” is the same Greek word ek, meaning out of. Jesus was manifested out of the heavenly realm to do the Father’s will on this earthly plane.
41 Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him, because He said, "I am the bread that came down out of heaven."
42 They were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, ‘I have come down out of heaven’?"
43 Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not grumble among yourselves.
44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.
45 "It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.
46 "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from (ek - out of) God; He has seen the Father.
The carnal, natural mind will always stumble over spiritual truths. They don’t make sense. What the Jews said in verses 41-42 is perfectly logical to the natural mind. They knew Jesus’ family. How could He say, “I have come down out of heaven?” In verses 43-44 Jesus is basically telling them no one can understand spiritual truths unless they are drawn into the life of Christ. That is the same thing He told Nicodemus in John 3:
1 ¶ Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews;
2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
4 Nicodemus *said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?"
5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 "Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
8 "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
9 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can these things be?"
10 Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and do not understand these things?
11 "Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you do not accept our testimony.
12 "If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
13 "No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.
In this discourse with Nicodemus we have as clear an explanation as possible of how Jesus could be born of Mary, with His feet standing on this physical earth, yet say, “No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from (out of) heaven; the son of Man.” While it may play havoc with the natural mind, by the Spirit we can understand that Jesus was of a heavenly essence, born of another realm, but manifested in the natural one.
Now we get to the heart of this message. That vision of the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven back in Rev. 21 is not a sovereign act of God. The New Jerusalem manifested in this natural realm is birthed through the travail of a people. In Isa. 66 we read:
6 "A voice of uproar from the city, a voice from the temple, The voice of the LORD who is rendering recompense to His enemies.
7 "Before she travailed, she brought forth; Before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy.
8 "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.
9 "Shall I bring to the point of birth and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?" says your God.
10 "Be joyful with Jerusalem and rejoice for her, all you who love her; Be exceedingly glad with her, all you who mourn over her,
11 That you may nurse and be satisfied with her comforting breasts, That you may suck and be delighted with her bountiful bosom."
12 For thus says the LORD, "Behold, I extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; And you will be nursed, you will be carried on the hip and fondled on the knees.
13 "As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; And you will be comforted in Jerusalem."
Isa. 62:
1 ¶ For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her salvation like a torch that is burning.
2 The nations will see your righteousness, And all kings your glory; And you will be called by a new name Which the mouth of the LORD will designate.
3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4 It will no longer be said to you, "Forsaken," Nor to your land will it any longer be said, "Desolate"; But you will be called, "My delight is in her," And your land, "Married"; For the LORD delights in you, And to Him your land will be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin, So your sons will marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So your God will rejoice over you.
6 ¶ On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the LORD, take no rest for yourselves;
7 And give Him no rest until He establishes And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
There is a ministry of the watchmen who take no rest for themselves until God establishes Jerusalem and makes her a praise in the earth. There is a ministry that takes that which is of a heavenly origin and makes it manifest on this earthly plane. The ministry brings down out of the heavenly realm and creates on the earthly one. That is exactly what Jesus did during His earthly ministry.
In the strictest sense, when Jesus said He came down out of heaven to do the will of the Father, it was to create channels through which all the plan of God could flow. Yes, He died for the sins of the world, but how that provision would be channeled was through those whom He prepared. Let’s look at John 17:
1 ¶ Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,
2 even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life.
3 "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
4 "I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.
5 "Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
6 ¶ "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
7 "Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You;
8 for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.
9 "I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours;
10 and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.
11 ¶ "I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.
12 "While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
13 "But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.
14 "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.
16 "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 ¶ "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.
18 "As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
19 "For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
20 ¶ "I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;
21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22 "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;
23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
24 ¶ "Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25 "O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me;
26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
This entire prayer that Jesus prayed prior to His crucifixion is centered on His disciples. Notice carefully verse four: "I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.” Jesus glorified the Father by accomplishing the work on an earthly plane He gave Him to do. What was that work? To create and prepare the disciples! This entire prayer says point blank that Jesus came into the world to prepare disciples to become channels for God’s provision which was going to come through His sacrifice.
Jesus created in these disciples the heavenly realm from which He Himself descended. Those disciples transcended the natural realm just as Jesus did. Look carefully at verses 14-18:
14 "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.
16 "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 ¶ "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.
18 "As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
Jesus said the disciples were not of the world even as He was not of the world. But they certainly were born into the natural world the same as everyone else! What happened to them that were no longer of the world? Jesus created His own life within them. His Word was abiding in them. The heavenly realm was made manifest in earthly vessels. Just as Jesus said, He accomplished the work He was sent to do. As Jesus was sent into the world, He sent the disciples into the world.
9 "I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours;
And in verses 20-21: "I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;
Jesus’ sole concern in this prayer is for His disciples. His desire is for them to be where He is (spiritually) that they may behold His glory and then create it in others as He did in them. Notice how Jesus says the Father had loved Him from before the foundation of the world. The heavenly realm He came out of is the eternal realm. Although Jesus had a finite existence on the earth, His roots reached into eternity. Jesus’ prayer for these disciples is for them to transcend the natural realm and experience the same thing (vs. 2-3). What’s more, it was God’s intent that as the disciples experienced it they would minister it to others as verses 20-21 indicate. Mystically, we find that in Christ our lives are also rooted in eternity. This heavenly heritage must be fully manifested in the earthly realm. That is what our beginning text in Rev. 21 is all about.
Jesus said in John 14:
10 "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.
11 "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.
12 ¶ "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
13 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
The Gospel of John is filled with references of the works of God through Jesus. Jesus brought forth living works. That means all that He did had its origin in the heavenly realm. That’s when “whatever you ask in My name I will do it” becomes a reality. Jesus’ greatest work was creating His disciples. They were to be the channels for all God’s work after Jesus’ ascension.
There is a heavenly heritage that must continue to have its expression in the earth. The heavenly realm of God must continue to have a channel through which mankind can experience it. Most of Christianity today cannot minister the realm of God that we have been studying. It cannot bring down that Heavenly Jerusalem out of heaven and impart it to others so they experience it and become channels of it as well. The bulk of Christianity is too entrenched in religious works as the Pharisees were in Jesus’ day. That is why Jesus bypassed those who were the learned men of the day and chose ignorant and unlearned men instead (Acts 4:13 KJV). There must be a people who are capable of reaching into the heavenly realms and manifesting here on this earthly plane those spiritual realities. Living works must continue to be manifested in the earth. Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” This is God’s heart. This is burden. He wants a people who are capable of giving access to others all the riches of His kingdom. It begins when there is a desire to walk with Him as a disciple. As a disciple we are led of the Lord in such a way as to find the fountains of living water that can create in us the highways to Zion. Thus we become an access for others.
