The Day of New Beginnings
Let God Be Found True
Rom. 3:4 -- “Let God be found true, though every man be found a liar..." The "every man" is our old nature. It is constantly speaking in our ears telling us how alive it is and how little we have appropriated from God. But it is a liar!
Joh 8:44* "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
The old nature is an expression of the father of lies. The "let God be found true" is the new nature of Christ within us. It is speaking also. The old nature speaks inwardly in our own ears, lying to us. The new nature speaks outward, expressing Christ. This is why many times we are not aware of Christ even ministering through us, while others see it very readily. Our old nature "speaks" to our own ears, spewing lies. But the divine nature "speaks" outward into the earth for those who have ears to hear. Our brothers and sisters bear witness to Christ in us because their ears are open and they readily "hear" Christ. This is the fulfillment of 2nd Thess. 1:10: "…when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed--for our testimony to you was believed."
We must have a revelation from the Lord to realize and "see" that the new nature is already beginning to “speak” through the Body of Christ. I don't mean a specific revelation of every time He ministers, but a general revelation that He is indeed "speaking”. We accept what the new nature is saying, and reject what the old nature speaks to us.
The Body of Christ has progressed much further than realized because it has not recognized the new nature that God is establishing. So much that we are "looking to see happen" is already happening! It's like the message of Sonship. We tend to think sonship is to be a glorious outward manifestation with all kinds of fireworks. But when the Father confirmed to Jesus His sonship at the Jordan River, how many heard it besides Jesus? It was first a revelation to His own heart. I don't believe God wants to keep from us how much He has already come forth in His Body. It's just that it hasn't come about the way we thought. We haven’t been aware. No matter "how great" a thing the Lord does in us, its still going to take a revelation to see it. We won't know it with our natural senses or because we have such “super spiritual” experiences. We will know because it's a revelation to our hearts.
