The Day of New Beginnings
The True Seer Ministry
Eph. 1:
15* ¶ For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints,
16* do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers;
17* that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
18* I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
The true seer ministry opens the door to reveal the mind and heart of God. It is quite possible to be aware of many things in the spirit realm without ever discerning or "seeing" the heart of God. Paul prays here that the eyes of the heart may be enlightened so that we would know the hope of His calling, that we would know the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
A key word here is "heart". When Paul prays that the eyes of the "heart" be enlightened, he is praying that the hidden springs of the inner man, especially his affections and desires, be illumined. The Greek word for heart, kardia, as used in the Scriptures, also implies the area of our lives of divine influence. It is the hidden or real man (Vines Complete Expository Dictionary). The first and greatest commandment is to "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart..." It is important that when we receive revelation that it touch our affections and desires as they are related to the Lord. True revelation is always related to our relationship with God. It is possible to see things and know things without ever touching or perceiving His heart toward us. A classic example is Elisha and his servant.
2nd Kings 6:
5 Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"
16* So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
17* Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
2nd Kings 5:
13* Then his servants came near and spoke to him and said, "My father, had the prophet told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?"
14* So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child and he was clean.
15* ¶ When he returned to the man of God with all his company, and came and stood before him, he said, "Behold now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; so please take a present from your servant now."
16* But he said, "As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will take nothing." And he urged him to take it, but he refused.
17* Naaman said, "If not, please let your servant at least be given two mules' load of earth; for your servant will no longer offer burnt offering nor will he sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD.
18* "In this matter may the LORD pardon your servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon your servant in this matter."
19* He said to him, "Go in peace." So he departed from him some distance.
20* ¶ But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, thought, "Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Aramean, by not receiving from his hands what he brought. As the LORD lives, I will run after him and take something from him."
21* So Gehazi pursued Naaman. When Naaman saw one running after him, he came down from the chariot to meet him and said, "Is all well?"
22* He said, "All is well. My master has sent me, saying, 'Behold, just now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of clothes.'"
23* Naaman said, "Be pleased to take two talents." And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags with two changes of clothes and gave them to two of his servants; and they carried them before him.
24* When he came to the hill, he took them from their hand and deposited them in the house, and he sent the men away, and they departed.
25 But he went in and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, "Where have you been, Gehazi?" And he said, "Your servant went nowhere."
26* Then he said to him, "Did not my heart go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money and to receive clothes and olive groves and vineyards and sheep and oxen and male and female servants?
27* "Therefore, the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your descendants forever." So he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
Gehazi, Elisha's servant, was chosen to inherit Elisha's mantle of anointing just as Elisha inherited Elijah's. Even though Elisha prayed that his eyes be opened to the realm of spirit, and though he did in fact see the flaming chariots of the heavenly host, his heart was never enlightened. Even after having his eyes opened to the realm of spirit, he still acted deceitfully and took from Naaman the silver and changes of clothes. Gehazi never perceived God's purposes for his life. The revelation of the Lord never touched his heart. He never understood his calling.
There are many things the Body of Christ is being prepared to walk in. We are pioneers in the realm of spirit. There is so much yet to be experienced. And because we are at a literal conjunction of two worlds, the activity of Satan is also focused here. He fights desperately to hold back and frustrate the breakthroughs that are inevitable. Because when they come, it means his ultimate judgment.
The Lord has identified to us that the "end time" battle is one of deception and subterfuge.
2nd Thess. 2:
9* that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,
10* and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.
11* For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,
12* in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
The world right now is primed and ready for the river of Satan's lies to come forth. Never has there been more interest in the occult and the supernatural. That is why the Harry Potter books are so popular. God is opening a new realm, and people are responding, even those who don't even know the Lord. (I am not passing judgment on the Harry Potter books one way or the other, only explaining their great popularity).
The Lord has spoken to us that He is opening to us a spirit of revelation and wisdom in the knowledge of Him. This is the pure seer ministry. First and foremost we must see and understand His heart and mind toward us. The Body of Christ is to function as those seer priests of the Lord. We are to "see" His heart, to understand His mind in things pertaining to us and the whole world. And we are to worship Him accordingly. It's all about our love relationship with the Lord.
I believe that as we move on into things we will become increasingly aware of the spirit realm in many ways. We will have the visions and dreams, etc., but those things alone do not constitute the true seer ministry that God is bringing forth now. The most important thing is to "see" Him!
