The Day of New Beginnings

True and False Sons

 

The following is a dream that came:

I was sitting in a meeting with a group of brothers. We had just had a wonderful service and meeting with God. There were three long tables at which we were sitting. It was brought up that now that we were moving into so much it was time to introduce someone who was going to be as a leader, someone like a front man, so to speak. There was a press packet laid down on the table in front of me. I didn’t pick it up, but I could see what was written on the covers of the various pamphlets. I raised my hand to speak.

I began by saying, “This might get me thrown out of here.” I then told them very boldly they didn’t need some high recognition preacher to come in and lead anything. I pointed out a young brother and mentioned what a great job he was doing. I was aware that until then no one was really above another in the leadership of the group. I pointed out how the man’s name and picture was all over the literature. There was also some pamphlet about his affiliation with major league baseball. Something like, “Minister to the National League.”  I was speaking very, very boldly with no concern for stepping on anyone’s toes or offending someone.

Finally, it was pointed out that this person’s mother was present, that I should tone things down because she could hear me. I said I didn’t care if she was there or not, these things had to be said. I then kept saying how pure the thing was we were part of. I just kept emphasizing the importance of the purity we had.

And then the scene kind of shifted again and I noticed there was a fourth row of chairs up front. It was not as long as the three tables where everyone else was sitting. Those tables were all of equal length. As I noticed this smaller row of chairs slightly elevated as on a platform, I became aware that’s where the prospective big name preacher’s mother was sitting. There were also several other “important people” sitting there. And then I became aware the big name preacher was sitting there also. I realized he had heard everything I had said about him. But I didn’t care. I was speaking from the burden the Lord had put in my heart. It was His word and I didn’t care who was offended. The others were uneasy at my rhetoric and a little apologetic and embarrassed for the other guy. It became evident that they were not going to listen to me but had it in their minds that they needed this guy. At some point I looked around and noticed I was the only one left at the table where I was sitting. Everyone else had gotten up and moved to the tables closer to where the elevated chairs were. My table had been the furthest one back from what became the front when the row of chairs appeared.

There was no “front” or “back” until those chairs appeared. We were all equal. No one stood out above anyone else. The awareness was that these brothers felt the need to have someone they thought was important and experienced to lead us because we were just ordinary guys.

This dream goes to the heart of the Adamic nature. It is human nature to seek either exaltation or to exalt others. This is also the heart of Satan himself. He is the big name preacher set to take over what God had created in purity.

Isa. 14:

12  "How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!

13  "But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north.

14  ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’

15  "Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit.

The nature of Christ is the exact opposite of Satan, and by extension, the Adamic nature.

Phil. 2:

5  Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

6  who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,

7  but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.

8  Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

It doesn’t matter how pure a thing is in its inception, it will be corrupted without the removal of the Adam nature’s input. Bound up in the Adamic nature is Satan’s own nature. It’s the hour in which we see the fulfillment of Rom. 16:5: “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” How is this done? By the work of the cross producing Christ’s nature in us.

The judgments of God are released to remove from His people all input from the Satanic nature. There shall be a people who stand free of the Adversary’s influence and Lie, which goes back to the Garden of Eden.

Gen. 3:

4  The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die!

5  "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Notice the serpent’s enticement: “You will be like God.”  That was Satan’s desire as we read in Isaiah. The serpent imparted Satan’s own nature and desire into the human race. Satan’s goal was to corrupt and take for himself God’s offspring. He wanted sons in his own image, a perversion of the Father’s true goal of sons bearing His image.

God’s sons will bear the image of Christ. They shall be like God in as much as they shall have His nature. The perversity that has driven the human race to exalt itself is broken. Sons bearing the image of Christ become the channels of judgment upon the satanic lie.
